Welcome to our bed and breakfast. This 1892 Victorian style home is nestled in the serene countryside, where Mike and Sue are expecting your arrival. Take a day trip to explore the Annapolis Valley’s historic sites, go whale watching, rafting, beachcombing, fossil hunting, hiking, kayaking, or where ever your adventurous spirit takes you.

About Mike & Sue

Mike and Sue Hudgins are high school sweethearts that grew up and were married in the Valley, and when the children were young they moved west. They now feel the calling of home and are looking forward to the next adventure in life as B & B owners

History of Creekside

Creekside started it’s life as the residence of a local farmer, who built the home in 1892.

Mike and Sue were immediately attracted to the Victorian style, the beautiful, rolling countryside and the long history associated with the property.

Here are some points to summarize what we’ve been working on over the past years.

• June 2006: Purchased our dream home with the intent of making it into a B & B.
• April 2007: Moved the house approximately 100 feet onto a new ICF walk out basement.
• September 2007: Spray foam insulation added to exterior walls.
• May 2008: Demolished the dining room and kitchen ceiling.
• November 2009: Re covered the attic floor, replaced 2 windows and added two doors. Removed several layers of industrial paint from the beautiful hemlock floors.
• May 2010: Sided NE face of house, stained wainscoting, and put 18 pounds of screws in the floors.
• June/July 2010: Completed tile in kitchen and baths, painted exterior of house.
• November 2010: Completed kitchen and house trim and finish work.
• January 2011: MOVED IN !!!
• May 2011: Completed driveway, had successful open house and received first reservations.

Progress & Future

Here’s a quick list of the upcoming changes and upgrades:

• Sue and I will be working on landscaping most of the summer and then finishing the basement in the fall.
